Matt has helped me heaps, he has taught me what it means to have an acquired brain injury.

He obtained an electric bed for me, which means I can now get out of bed by myself because my stomach muscles don't work and I can't get from lying to sitting by myself but I can with the help of the bed. He has organised an electric wheelchair so I can get around and go places by myself, this has changed my life dramatically. He even sat in the toilet with me and taught me how to use a bottom wiper, talk about dedication to the job! Most of all he has helped me with my attitude, I was so used to asking the nurses for help - he taught me to try myself before I ask for help which has made such a difference to my independence.
